Pig Breakdown Demo
Join head butcher Andy and local pig farmer Tim Allen for a unique demonstration on how to breakdown half a pig.
The session will start with a presentation from Tim Allen, our pork supplier at Morely’s farm on the Holkham Estate in North Norfolk. Following the presentation and questions, our experienced head butcher Andy will guide you through the breakdown of half a pig. From a full side of pork, you will be shown where each cut comes from, followed by the breakdown of the main primal joints into the cuts that are found within our main butchery counter. You will learn tips and tricks and be able to ask any questions that you may have.
This demonstration is perfect for any food enthusiast who has a passion for supporting local, understanding where your food comes from and wants to learn more about the butchery process.
This workshop starts at 6:30pm and typically runs for two and a half hours. After the workshop, you will have the opportunity to look around the farm shop and make any purchases if you wish.

- This event is aimed at our grown up visitors.
- This is a ticketed event, we will not be able to take walk-ins on the evening.
- Tickets are non-refundable, non-negotiable and non-transferable.
- Each ticket includes a free tea or coffee on arrival.
- This event will only go ahead if we hit minimum numbers. We will get in contact and refund all tickets purchased if we are unable to proceed with the event due to capacity.
