Down on the farm

We welcome walk-ins to our Kitchen everyday, and we have plenty of space so just turn up and a member of our friendly team will get you seated. Please note that we only take bookings of 8 or more for breakfast, if you’d like to enquire about bookings for larger groups, please send an email to foh@goat-shed.co.uk. Table bookings of any size are available from midday Monday to Sunday to join us in our kitchen for lunch. Simply use our quick and easy online booking form to secure your table, but don’t worry if not, we have plenty of space for everyone.

Monday to Saturday: 8:00am – 5:00pm (hot food served until 4:00pm, coffee and cake served until 5:00pm). Sunday: 9:30am – 4:00pm (hot food served until 3:00pm, coffee and cake served until 4:00pm)

We welcome four legged friends into our kitchen marquee and outside paddock area (not including the maize maze). Only assistance dogs are allowed within the farm shop.

We have plenty of free parking on-site here at the Goat Shed. We have a main carpark at the front of the farm shop and kitchen with accessible disabled spaces and electric charging points along with an overflow carpark behind our farm shop and kitchen.

Yes, we are open as usual on bank holidays. We are only closed on Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and New Years Day.

Yes! Our welcome committee love a good scratch on the head. When you're finished, make sure you wash your hands with the soap provided in our outside porch area.

You are able to see our Simmental cows in their shed from our paddock area. Throughout the year we run small 'Cow Club' sessions where you can be taken up to see the herd, however these are always supervised by a member of the Goat Shed team. The cows are also visible from our kitchen marquee area, so you can enjoy delicious food while watching the cows and goats playing.

Our on-site goats are Boer goats and we like to think of them as our welcoming committee. When the decision was made to focus on the production of cheese, Sam and Caroline missed having goats around, and bought the children a couple of baby boer goats for Christmas which started off the new herd. The goat pen underneath the porch area was built alongside the farmshop in 2021.

Our ‘Hoof it’ around Honingham is a monthly walk, normally on the first Monday of each month, starting off at 2:00pm from the Goat Shed with a member of the Goat Shed team. The route is around 5km, four legged friends are welcome and afterwards you can enjoy refreshments back at the Goat Shed. This Summer we will not be running the goat spa. We've got plenty of new and exciting ventures happening this year and we cannot wait to share them with you.
